Editorial

Editorial policy

These are the standards behind everything we publish. They exist so you can tell where our advice stops, how we handle mistakes, and what keeps our research independent.

Last reviewed: October 2026

We are a product research and shopping publication. Health, safety and medical decisions belong to qualified professionals and official guidance — we point you to them rather than replacing them.

Independence

Editorial decisions — what we cover, how we compare and what we recommend — are made on the merits of the research, independent of commercial relationships. Affiliate partnerships never dictate a recommendation, and any sponsored placement would be clearly labelled.

Clear boundaries

  • We publish shopping and product guidance, not medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
  • Where a topic touches health or safety, we describe considerations and link to recognised official and safety sources.
  • Estimates and calculators are labelled as such and carry their method and a safety note.
  • We do not invent product reviews, test results or brand claims we have not sourced.

Sourcing and transparency

Comparisons are built from manufacturer and retailer information, official and government sources, recognised safety standards and our own editorial research. We explain what we compared and why it matters so you can judge it for yourself.

Corrections

If something is inaccurate or out of date, we want to know. Send us a note through the contact page and, once verified, we will correct the content and update its review date where relevant.
