Cookie policy

This page explains what cookies Pregnancy Baby Toddler sets, what they are for and how you can control them. It works alongside our privacy policy.

Last reviewed: October 2026

We keep tracking as light as possible. Non-essential cookies — such as analytics — are only set where the law allows, and for UK and EU visitors that means after you give consent. You can accept, reject or change your choice at any time.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) do a similar job. This policy covers all of them.

Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (for example, remembering your cookie preference and basic security). These do not require consent.
  • Analytics — help us understand which guides, comparisons and calculators are genuinely useful, so we know what to write next. We use Google Analytics for this.
  • Affiliate and third-party — when you click through to a retailer (such as Amazon), that retailer may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase and measure its own campaigns. These are controlled by the retailer, not us.
  • Preferences — where offered, to remember choices such as your region or display options.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate, anonymous usage — for example which pages are read most and where visitors come from. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<site-id> to recognise your device and browser over time (typically for up to two years).

The information is generally aggregated and we do not use it to identify you personally or to link it to your name. Data processed by Google Analytics may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States; we rely on recognised transfer safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Google's standard data-processing terms. Event data is retained for a set period (we configure this to the shortest option that still gives us useful insight — commonly 2 or 14 months).

Managing your choices

  • You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when we first ask, and change or withdraw that choice at any time using the 'Cookie settings' link in the footer of every page. Your choice is remembered for six months.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — blocking analytics cookies will not stop you from using the site.
  • Google provides a browser opt-out add-on for Analytics that works across websites.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it where required by laws such as California's.

Visitors worldwide

Because our audience is global, we aim to meet the standards of UK and EU cookie rules (prior consent for non-essential cookies) as well as US state privacy laws. If requirements change for your region, we update this page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy as our tools or obligations change. The 'last reviewed' date above shows when it was last revised.
